Audits and Health Checks

We provide a service to enable organisations to gain a complete understanding of what information and records they are responsible for, how they are managed, and how they compare to best practice.  This service includes both electronic and physical records and can be conducted for a single department, an entire organisation, in a single location or multiple locations including internationally.

Typically the information gathered includes (but is not limited to):

  • Ownership
  • Location
  • Storage medium
  • Format
  • Volume
  • Age profile
  • Retention
  • Associated system or inventory
  • Documented workflows or processes

As well as the information above, we review existing policies, processes, and procedures for the creation, management, retention and disposition of records.  This is then compared to industry best practice including ISO15489, ISO27001, ISO30300, BS10008 and the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles (GARP).  A written report is prepared and the findings with key highlights and recommendations presented to the relevant stakeholders.
